Stop the Village

Our first report of dead fish was on January 24, 2025. The dead fish appeared in Spanaway Lake where Coffee Creek enters the lake. There was suddenly a thick layer of silt in this same area. The gills of the dead fish are filled with silt. Coffee Creek runs under Spanaway Loop Road after running through the proposed "Good Neighbor Village" site where culverts were replaced WITHOUT PERMITS on two different streams. It's also the site of a massive logging operation that recently took place. You can find videos of this work on our YouTube Channel. You will NOT see any silt fencing in those videos FYI. Is this why the fish are dying? We don't know for sure. Please help us stop further destruction of Spanaway Lake by donating to our legal fund. We are appearing in Thurston County Superior Court on March 28th in our final attempt to STOP THE VILLAGE. https://spanawayconcernedcitizen s.com/

WHY WE ARE AGAINST THE VILLAGE

  • Water Contamination. The chosen site at the end of 176th & Spanaway Loop is the headwaters for Coffee Creek, Spanaway Lake, Clover Creek and all the way to Chambers Bay and Puget Sound.
  • Drugs are OK in the homes. Yes, residents can be addicted and do drugs and or alcohol in their homes because this is set up as a landlord / tenant relationship.
  • Precious Wetlands Will be Destroyed! There is a reason this huge chunk of property has been vacant forever. It's wetlands!
  • The list goes on and on...
